Steel cut oatmeal, a cholesterol-fighting breakfast

I love steel cut oatmeal anyway, so this wasn’t much of a challenge…

My cholesterol levels are starting to creep up, and I wondered why.

I went on an oatmeal wave a few years back, when my cholesterol levels were at their lowest, so I think it’s time to get back on it again.

It’s really easy to make a batch on Sunday that you can use through the week!

Healthy microwave popcorn recipe for one

Healthy microwave popcorn is the best thing I can eat when I’m craving crunchy and salty. It’s got fiber, good fats from olive oil, and low-sodium salty goodness from Flavor God Everything Seasoning.

I use my Nordic Ware Microwave Popcorn Popper and good ol’ Orville Redenbacher to make a bowl that’s fast, easy, and chemical free.

Don’t ever buy those microwave popcorn bags again!

My perfect day of eating

I’m pretty strict about what I eat most of the time. To make it convenient, though, I tend to eat the same meals, and day of meals, over and over again. I eat for fuel, not for pleasure. (Man, that sounds so sad, doesn’t it? I do allow myself one cheat meal a week. Then I eat for pure gluttonous pleasure.)

Anyway, I notice that one certain day’s worth of meals makes me feel particularly good, keeps me within my macros, gets me all 21 Day Fix colored boxes in the right proportions, and results in a good weigh-in the next day.

I call it My perfect day of eating and it goes like this.
